User story 3 - Lecturer
The example below illustrates how a lecturer in higher education uses the framework to ensure that their course material aligns with the framework and students gain the appropriate knowledge and skills.
Lecturer in a dental school
Martin is a lecturer in the dental school of a Scottish university.
He is looking at the content of the framework to see how he could improve his lesson plan for the coming academic year to align it better with the framework. He is particularly keen to highlight a patient-centred approach and is planning to spend more time focusing on the importance of communication with patients and carers. He updates some of the learning outcomes according to the framework and includes appropriate content in the course materials for his students.
