Below we have summarized some key information about the framework and how to use it. For further details, please refer to the full framework, either via the framework document or the online site.
The framework is first and foremost a tool for identifying and addressing learning needs. It does not need to be read from cover to cover. Instead, you should look at the domains and topics, assess which of them apply to your job role or your intended target audience and where there is a need for learning and development.
Some staff might already be familiar with AMR and AMS and will look at more specific knowledge and skills, while others need to start with the foundations of AMR and AMS to gain basic knowledge and skills.
The questions below will help to navigate to an appropriate part of the framework.
Which of the main staff groups indicated is most appropriate for you or your target audience as a starting point?
Which domain/topic should be the focus of development? This depends on which parts of the care journey you or your target audience are involved in as part of your/their role.
What could the development focus on to ensure an impact on service delivery and AMR?
The framework aims to be a tool to support the following:
Individual staff members/students:
Line managers/supervisors/teams:
Organisations:
Education and training providers:
Four different user stories illustrate how users will use the framework in a different way:
